I’m back with another dental care savings story. Check it out:

My dentist was congratulating me on how good my plan is. I had to get some scaling and planning done. All four quadrants cost me about $600. That’s about a $200 savings with the discount dental plan from DentalPlans.com! This is truly an amazing discount dental plan.

A Dental Care Savings Story from the Dental Hygenie’s Inbox

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

Dear Dental Hygenie:

I needed some expensive dental surgery that would have normally cost $2,000. Without this discount dental plan I would have had to just have the two teeth pulled out. I saved money and best of all, my favorite dentist in the whole world was on the list of participating dentists. Thank you, thank you!

I’d love to hear from you next! Check out the dental insurance alternatives at DentalPlans.com today!

Here are a couple of my recent messages from DentalPlans.com Members I have helped!

See how much they’ve saved with their discount dental plans:

“Our family has been saving money with our DentalPlans.com membership since 2004. Our plan activated quickly and we saved $2,500 on my braces alone!

DentalPlans.com plans are affordable, easy and reliable. We don’t stress over dentist bills with our plan because it’s always there to save us money.” – Wendy – King George, VA

“I would be lost without my discount dental plan. I am going to have two teeth extracted this month and instead of paying over $950, I’ll pay $450. This is a huge savings and in this economy, I am just thrilled. I will certainly renew my membership when it expires.” – Susan – Manalapan, NJ

New Story from the Dental Care Savings Trail

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

Sometimes I don’t take my new-found friends through the new member process. If I’m running short on time or if I need to rush to another dental office to help some other poor soul pay less for dental, I usually just tell my friend to go to DentalPlans.com.

But if I think that my friend will need  a little assistance picking a plan, I just tell her to call the DentalPlans.com support team.

Most times, after I tell a friend to call the DentalPlans.com support team, I get a nice note in the mail a week or so later telling me how friendly the DentalPlans.com staff is and how easy it was to join.

I got this note from my friend Dorris:

“Your customer service rep was so very helpful when I called to renew my plan. It is so nice to speak with a polite, helpful, and patient person.”

Nightmare on Dental Street Avoided

Friday, April 10th, 2009

Some of my dental care problem victims really do have some interesting stories. Check this one out, it’ll make ya think twice before ordering that extra large popcorn at the movie theatre!

I was settling into my seat at the movies. I hugged a tub of popcorn with my left arm, clutched a box of milk duds in my right hand. A coke was in its holder. The house lights dimmed, the projector whirred to life and previews of upcoming attractions filled the screen. All was right with the world.

I scooped up and ate a handful of popcorn. I bit down on a hard, unpopped kernel. There was a mysterious crunching sound, and it wasn’t popcorn. I ignored it, and was absorbed by the grotesque images in ‘The Grudge II.’ I popped a milk dud into my mouth. As I chewed, I felt part of a broken tooth pull away. I told myself that it was a small chip of a tooth, nothing to worry about. But when I sipped my soda, and the left side of my face experienced excruciating pain, I knew my situation was dire.

I watched the movie, even though the real horror story was in my mouth. I even tried to brave work as if nothing had happened. But every time I tried to eat or drink something, my tooth hurt so badly I couldn’t concentrate.

I needed to visit a dentist. But I had no dental insurance (my employer, a small business owner, couldn’t afford to provide it) and dental bills are expensive.

I thought I might shop online to find either a dentist or an insurance plan I could afford. I discovered that dental insurance costs, when not subsidized by

employers, are prohibitively priced. I remembered hearing about discount dental plans.

I typed ‘dental plans’ into Google and DentalPlans.com was listed. I read about one of their plans, and how it could save me significant amounts of money on dental costs. The website was user-friendly. It listed participating dentists, their addresses, and their contact information. The DentalPlans.com site can help you search for a dentist near your house. It also provides a list of prices for different dental procedures, the cost and the discounted price with a DentalPlans.com membership. I paid my membership fee, then printed my card on my PC’s printer. The next day I called a dentist office not a mile from my house to

confirm they participated in the plan. They did, and I made the first of what would be several appointments.

I needed two root canals, seven cavities filled, x-rays and a cleaning. The bill would have been $5,000 but my DentalPlans.com membership reduced the bill by half.

DentalPlans.com was easy, convenient and a real lifesaver. They made what could have been a script for a horror movie into an adventure with a happy ending.

Thanks for the Biography!

Sometimes my friends write me really, really interesting things. One friend recently sent me a letter describing our dental care savings meeting. It’s so nice (and flattering) that I just have to share!

Whew-w-w-w! Swish. Swoosh. There flutters in fantasy that wee darling in my life, the angel fairie godmother often perched on my shoulder and always near by. Dedicated to me, she flies in perfect freedom ensuring that I am protected, that I feel empowered. Now, what is that feeling worth in these days of endless economic uncertainty?

It was last January on a routine visit to my dentist when I listened to this creature’s  gentle urgings to learn about the guidelines of  DentalPlans.com for people like me.  Like magic, DentalPlans.com, has been there for me when I needed perio-care appointments, when a molar cracked and could be saved by the skilled dentist, when another perio checkup two months later revealed a huge pocket, umpteen millimeters of danger.

Because of the umbrella provided by DentalPlans.com, I could escape the storm of getting a second opinion, studying the options, and then choosing expert extraction of the two offending molars at  the price of one extraction.

In 9 months, DentalPlans.com has blessed me, 84 years young, out and about speaking about the 3 novels I released. Audiences sometimes remark about a sparkle in my eyes and smile. Life is good; a good dental program helps; I make a great ambassador for this group even sharing with good friends the impression that the program hoversover me like a fairie godmother.

Yet Another Dental Savings-Inspired Poem

Monday, March 30th, 2009

My friend Greg sent me this poem shortly after he signed up for a DentalPlans.com membership.

While chewing on a peppermint,

My molar partly shattered.

This caused me grief,

In mouth and seat,

As work and I were scattered.

What could I do? I had to chew,

But funds were pretty skinny.

So I was down,

Until I found,

A plan that saved me plenty.

My tooth repair was with such care,

I may write home to Mom.

And I’ve got cents,

To buy more mints

Thanks DentalPlans.com!
